Degrees of Severity
Diaper rash can present itself differently on different skin types and come in varying degrees of severity from minimal to severe. Choose a baby’s face that matches how you think your little one is feeling to see an example of the corresponding diaper rash. Always contact your pediatrician if your baby's condition worsens, if there’s bleeding, your baby has a fever or if the rash spreads to other parts of the body.
Minimal
Faint pinkness or a red, patchy area.

Mild
Faint pink or red patchy area and some raised or fluid filled bumps.

Moderate
Intense redness, some peeling and several raised or fluid filled bumps.

Severe
Multiple raised or fluid filled bumps, intense redness and peeling.
